Privacy Policy
Data Collection
LlamaPDF does not require registration or login, and never asks for your name, email address or payment details. The only data we collect are the anonymous usage statistics described under Analytics.
File Processing
Every tool processes your files entirely in your browser, on your own device. No file content is sent to our servers or to anyone else — there are no server-side tools. Your files and results exist only in your browser until you download them or close the page.
Downloaded Components
Some tools need components that are too large to include in every page — for example the text-recognition engine and its language data, the background-removal AI model, a PDF engine, and fonts for some writing systems. The first time you use such a tool, your browser downloads these files from public content delivery networks: jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net) and Hugging Face (huggingface.co). This means your browser downloads code and data from those services, which, like any website, can see technical request data such as your IP address. None of your files or text is sent to them. Your browser caches the downloads, so later use is faster.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Analytics to understand which tools are used and whether they work. Our tool events contain only: the tool id, the file type (for example application/pdf), the file size, the number of files, the output size, and an error type if something fails. They never contain file names, file contents or text you type. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics stays off until you accept it in the cookie banner; elsewhere it is on unless you decline. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies and records anonymous page views. Cookies
The only tracking cookies on this site are Google Analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_…), and they are set only when analytics is allowed. Declining removes them. The NEXT_LOCALE cookie remembers the language you chose. Your cookie choice and your light/dark theme are stored in your browser’s local storage. There are no advertising cookies — the site has no ads.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel. To deliver the pages, Vercel processes technical request data such as your IP address and browser type. Vercel’s privacy policy: https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy The domain’s DNS is managed by Cloudflare.
Data Retention
We never receive your files, so there is nothing to retain. Google Analytics keeps event-level data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months; the 14-month period starts again each time you return to the site. Aggregated reports are not affected by these retention settings.
Your Rights
Because we don’t receive your files or hold account data, there is usually no personal data for us to access, correct or delete. You can refuse or withdraw analytics consent at any time with the Cookie settings link. If you have any concerns about your data, contact us and we will respond promptly.
